With online purchases, we understand it is important for the buyer to have the option to return an order if they are not entirely happy with it. So here at Designer & Ergonomic Seating LTD, we offer our customers the peace of mind that should they wish to return a chair, for any reason – then they can do so within 14 days of receiving delivery.
The fee to return a chair from a UK mainland address is £42.00. We only ask that the chair be returned to us in the same condition that it was received.
Returns shall be handled by our courier DPD, so please keep the box & internal packaging to ensure safe transit back to us. The buyer needs to send an email to our team at info@deslondon.co.uk to start the return process. Once the return is approved, we will schedule DPD to collect the box on a weekday pre-arranged with you.
Once returns are received back with us and checked, we aim to process all refunds immediately.
Please note - completed initial delivery fees are non-refundable, and the return fee is deducted from the final refund amount.
Please note – it is the buyer’s responsibility to repackage the returning item to avoid any potential damages occurring in transit. We should also make customers aware, DPD reserve the right to refuse collection of any parcels they deem unsuitably packaged for their courier network. Returned orders received in a damaged condition may result in a partial or non-refund situation.
Should the buyer return a chair using their own courier then please understand it is the buyers sole responsibility to ensure it arrives back in an undamaged state.
If the buyer wishes to return the chair themselves, no return fees are deducted from the refund amount.
We are sorry that we cannot accept returns after 14 days of receiving delivery.
Returns relating to damage in transit / defective / not as described.
We strive to ensure orders are packaged as securely as possible to avoid damages occurring in transit. However, like every parcel that enters a postal network, a very small percentage will unfortunately receive some accidental mishandling. Due to the large size & weight of our consignment’s damages can sometimes happen. If your order has arrived in a damaged state, you are entitled to a free return for either an exchange or full refund.
Please note – orders that have been received in a damaged condition must be reported to us within 48 hours of receiving delivery, and we may require photographic evidence to support this. We strongly advise customers to check their order upon receiving it.
Before an order is packaged, we conduct thorough checks to ensure no defective equipment slips through the net. Upon receiving your order, if you feel that something is not working as it should, then your first action should be to call or message us for after-sales assistance. We know that sometimes customers can perceive something like an adjustment or lever to be defective, when commonly we find that most issues can easily be explained & resolved with a quick phone call. Where possible, we shall provide links to manufacturers websites for customers to download user manuals and video tutorial guides. If for any reason, issues arising from defective equipment cannot be rectified, we shall arrange a return for exchange or repair and aim to deliver your order back to you as quickly as possible.
Lastly, we recognize that when trading in pre-used / second-hand items, accurate descriptions are essential to ensure the customer receives their order in the condition they expected. We aim to provide detailed images and honest descriptions, and to do our utmost to identify any notable signs of previous use and interpret the overall general used condition. It is never our intention to deceive customers with misleading or inflated assessments, and we encourage customers to review our feedback to confirm this. But should a customer receive a chair that they feel is not as described, then please refer to our 14 days return option for an exchange or refund.
