What to expect

Once your order is placed our team will begin the process to securely package & ship your chair. Unless otherwise stated, we will send the chair fully assembled in a strong box. Partially dismantled orders are sent in a smaller box with only simple reassembly required. However please expect a large parcel that weighs 20-25kg. For this reason the chairs are individually packaged & shipped, one chair per box. Once dispatched you will be able to track & receive delivery updates.

*A delivery fee is applied to Scottish Highlands & Off-shore UK locations. Please see below for more info regarding cost & dispatch timescales.

Free UK mainland delivery

We are delighted to offer a free mainland UK* delivery option to all our online orders. This free shipping service will be undertaken by DPD or with our own in-house delivery team. Please allow 5-7 working days for delivery to be completed. 

*Delivery to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and off-shore UK post codes will be subject to a £34.99 delivery fee. Additional delivery charges can be reviewed once calculated at checkout. 

Track and Manage Your DPD Delivery

If your order is sent with DPD you will receive the tracking number & delivery updates to the email provided at checkout. Using the tracking number you can follow the parcel here: https://track.dpdlocal.co.uk/

Also via the online tracking you can reschedule delivery for another day and confirm any "leave in a safe place" requirements. Please note DPD deliveries are to the front door only, and a signature may be required. 

Stay Informed: Tracking and Handling Delivery Delays

It is highly recommend for customers to track parcels online to view any potential delays. During busy shopping periods there can be a strain on the postal network, so carrier estimates can sometimes overrun by 2-3 days.

Regrettably such events are out of our control, and DES cannot guarantee DPD delivery time-frames. However please do feel free to notify us on info@deslondon.co.uk for further assistance with delayed parcels.

If you have missed your delivery DPD will leave a calling card to confirm they stopped by, and delivery will automatically be rebooked for a 2nd attempt on the next working day.

If your parcel is being delivered with our in-house team, we shall be in contact to confirm the date and a 2 hour delivery window.

Collections

Collections are welcome by appointment from our office in Bromley. We’ll be in touch after the purchase to organise a collection time, please allow up to 2 business days for us to prepare to your order. Please note that collections not completed within 14 days will be refunded.

Express Delivery

Should you require your chair sooner, we are delighted to offer an Express delivery option to mainland UK postcodes for £34.99. This faster shipping upgrade ensures a 2 day dispatch with DPD's fully trackable next day service. Deliveries can be expected within 3 working days. 

Using the DPD App, customers can also live-track their parcels speedy progress right to their door.

EU Delivery

With DPD's extensive European network we are able to offer a tracked international postage option to most Mainland EU countries for a one-off £90.00 fee. 

Unless otherwise stated, EU orders will always be shipped partially dismantled to meet DPD's parcel size restrictions. Delivery transit time-frames vary by distance, however to most EU countries delivery can be expected within 5-7 days (with a 2 day dispatch this is 9 days in total). 

Customs Duty and VAT Information

When an EU shipping destination is added at checkout, the order will automatically become zero (UK) VAT rated. EU orders are subject to Customs Duty & VAT at a rate specific to that country. The Customs Duty cost is calculated by the carrier (in this case DPD) based on the contents export category & invoice value. All Customs duty fee's and taxes are payable by the buyer directly to the transport company. DES cannot advise what these cost may total, and we strongly encourage customers to check Customs Duty rates in relation to the destination country Laws. 

International Shipping Options and Guidelines

We are sorry that we currently do not ship outside of Mainland EU locations. However if the buyer wished to arrange their own international transport company, we would be more than happy to securely package the chair inside one of our strong boxes for international shipment.

Please note - we cannot combine multiple orders inside one shipping box.

Do the used chairs come with any Warranty? 

Yes, all our chairs will come with a 180-day parts warranty. Please click below to review our full warranty terms & conditions for more info

Does the chair come fully assembled?

Mostly yes, however sometimes we do have to ship the chairs partially dismantled. If we do, it will always be very simple to reassemble with only a basic tool kit required. 

If your order is being delivered by our in-house delivery team, it will always be fully assembled, and we will take away any packaging to be recycled.

What Castors should I choose? 

All our chairs will come with good condition used castors fitted as the standard option. These are completely fine to use on low pile carpeted floors.

However, if you intended to use the chair on a wooden or tiled surface, then it is highly advisable to upgrade to the new hard floor castor option at checkout. To the untrained eye they are almost identical in appearance, however the actual wheel is rubberised, otherwise known as soft edge. Being brand new they will not have accumulated any unseen dirt or grit. The rubberised edge will minimise damage to the surface over time, provide more traction and will be noticeably quieter too.

Are your chairs Genuine products?

Very simply - yes. We only trade in 100% genuine chairs, you can rest assured that all our chairs for sale are not copies, inspired versions or outright fakes.

Can I return a chair if I find it uncomfortable?

Yes, we will accept a return – For any reason – within 14 days of taking delivery. We understand that it is difficult to quickly decide if the chair completely suitable for your working needs. That is why we offer this 14 Day return period to ensure you are totally satisfied and happy to keep & continue using the chair.

Really couldn’t be happier with my Herman Miller Setu chair. I was a bit suspicious of so many positive eBay reviews but my experience totally matched up to the hype. They were responsive to my queries. I bought the chair at 5pm and they delivered it themselves to my address the next day, having also refitted it with hard wood floor wheels.
