Brothers Louie and Zac founded DES in 2016 to specialize in high-end office seating. Previously, they partnered in their father's second hand office furniture business, which operated across South London from the 1970s to 2010s. Despite DES being an online retailer, they remain committed to providing a personable customer experience, just like in the family shop of years past.
Serviced and Refurbished but with a personal touch
At DES, we take pride in professionally restoring all our used chairs to a very high standard. This not only ensures the smooth operation of key ergonomic features, but extends the life & comfort of the chair.
Once dismantled, we are able to properly check for defects and service the moving parts. At this stage mechanical components are thoroughly cleaned and re-lubricated for optimal performance.

MOSTLY YES, however sometimes we do have to ship the chairs partially dismantled. If we do, it will always be very simple to reassemble with only a basic tool kit required.
If your order is being delivered by our in-house delivery team, it will always be fully assembled, and we will take away any packaging to be recycled.
All our chairs will come with good condition used castors fitted as the standard option. These are completely fine to use on low pile carpeted floors.
However, if you intended to use the chair on a wooden or tiled surface, then it is highly advisable to upgrade to the hard floor castor option. To the untrained eye they are almost identical in appearance, however the actual wheel is rubberised, otherwise known as soft edge. Being brand new they will not have accumulated any unseen dirt or grit. The rubberised wheel will minimise damage to the surface over time, provide more traction and will be noticeably quieter too.

YES, we will accept a return – FOR ANY REASON – within 14 days of taking delivery. We understand that it is difficult to quickly decide if the chair is suitable for your working needs. That is why we offer this 14 Day return period to ensure you are totally satisfied and happy to keep & continue using the chair.
